Across the Pond - by Storyheart January 30th Part 2
Another lot of information for my Storyheart and my Young Adult Fiction novel Across the Pond. Further details can be found at http://across-t-pond.com
Review from Cup of Coffee
Review
Fred Squire is not happy to be packed off on a plane from his native England to stay in America with a family he doesn’t know while his parents go to Australia on vacation. However, he makes the best of it and soon finds that “Uncle Phil” and his family are great fun—and that Phil’s daughter, Brittany, is hot and fun.
Fred and Brit soon become an "item", and she refers to him as her English Knight. He stands up for her when she has to face Steve Harris, a boy she dated once and who upset her deeply. Meanwhile, she and her parents show Fred around in fine style and help him with his school project of finding the differences between British and American English.
I can’t help but read the story with an editor’s eye, and I feel there are some places that could have been developed a bit more to enrich the story and bump up the page count a little. There were a couple of minor inconsistencies and other issues that can easily be fixed. However, these issues were few in number and small in nature, and the story was so enjoyable that it was easy to get past them.
Across the Pond is a fun, uplifting story that young teenagers should enjoy. It has everything: love, adventure, conflict, heroism, and even sports. The characters are fun and engaging, leaving you wanting to have more adventures with them, and readers learn a little about what it would be like to visit a foreign country—even one where the language is the same as your own...only completely different.
Coming soon: an interview with the author, Storyheart!

Across the Pond - by Storyheart January 30th Part 1
With my Virtual Book Tour coming up through February and all the work being done with various links, blogs and reviews as well as my schedule for next months tour. There is so much to blog about that I'm going to have to place it into at least 2 separate blogs. So here's my first for January 30th
Across the Pond by me Storyheart, my Young Adult Fiction novel details of which can be found at http://across-t-pond.com
Firstly I will share a great review from a blog.
http://trunerd.blogspot.com/
Across the Pond by Storyheart
Finding himself packed off to friends in the USA, fifteen-year-old English born Fred Squire is not happy. Then he meets Brittany.
Struggling with his feelings for Brit and the language, Fred is further confused when he meets Brit's flirtatious friend, Angel.
Escaping from a confrontation with Steve Harris, the neighborhood bully, Brit tells Fred her dark secret about Harris, and Fred's world is turned upside down.
Life continues to throw Fred a curveball when he catches a baseball worth a small fortune. Further run-ins with Harris, a crazy family BBQ, and a chase through a mall all add to Fred's American adventure.
"Brit and her Brit", know that their young love will be followed by heartache when Fred has to return to England. But not before some final twists in the tale.
What i thought: Storyheart comes across as a modern day Judy Blume with Across The Pond. The book's humor is reminiscent of Blume's books that were written for younger audiences while touching on a serious subject similar to the books written for older audiences.
It is an extremely well written novel for a young adult romantic adventure. The characters are well developed and their escapades are believable. An excellent story about teens, young love and what really happens "Across the Pond". This book is a hilarious look at culture shock even when you both speak the same language and a fresh look at the ins and outs of teenage romance.
Readers will love laughing along with Fred as he finds out what it really means to be an American. It helps that Fred's a very likable character, and his humor is not only laugh-out-loud funny at times, it's also very touching. He was a clever character, and i couldnt help but falling in love with the British 'Knight' myself.
Between the characterization and the well-paced plot, this book never becomes tedious. Since I traveled from the States to the UK recently, I was fascinated by the lead character's views as he traveled from the UK to the US. For American readers who grew up with the Harry Potter series, this book will be especially interesting. It shows the cultural differences on both sides.
This young adult novel provides wit, humor and a little romance. Although lacking suspense at times, this book is sweet, fun--although not always light--and entertaining. It does a good job of teasing out the differences and the similarities that two cultures share through the eyes of doting teenagers. It's a quick and solid read, a book that teenagers will love because it doesn't treat them like they're stupid and incompetent. It's well paced and doesn't talk down to the readers. Parents and other adults will enjoy this book as well.
If you are just looking for a sweet, short, easy, fun read, this is definitely a good choice.
Thank-you Barry for the copy of your fantastic novel!

More news and views on my Young Adult Fiction Novel “Across the Pond’
Not too much news on the book front, today, it will all take off next week, when my virtual book tour takes off.
The Radio interview at “Calling All Authors” last night was an enjoyable fifteen minutes.
I will put up the link as soon as I have it to share with everybody.
I have started to created the plan of the next book, I few more thoughts need to go into it and then I can start fleshing out the process before starting to write. I am not sure what to call it right now. “Across the Pond and Back Again” still comes to mind
Still no fresh reviews on Amazon *pout* but though I know there are some owned.
Short and sweet but honestly that’s all for today more news I to come tomorrow.
I always search for various items around the net and have Google searches set up for anything new I can find about the book.

This evening (Tuesday) I had a radio interview with “Calling All Authors” which was an enjoyable fifteen minutes. I will put up the link as soon as I have it to share with everybody.
No fresh reviews on Amazon *pout* but then you can’t have everything.
Several more blogs have written that they have received my book and I am expecting some great feed back once my virtual tour starts in February.
On a personal front I went back to the specialist to see the results of Sunday MRI on my back. The results are I have a… not let’s not put it in medical terms. Basically I have a lump from one vertebra that has broken of and joined another, leading to a 50% reduction of the gap between my nerves and the spine. End product is I need an Op before I can’t walk. I have to see a Nero surgeon on Monday, to find out when they will operate, as it needs to be done.
So that’s all the news for today more to come tomorrow.

The blog review I got from book marketing buzz is interesting.
Goodness gracious, this blogging thing is addictive. I was going to take the weekend off and darn if one of my authors who will be touring next month didn’t send me a link to a radio show he appeared on recently and I thought I bet this would be of some importance to you guys.
What makes this radio interview most interesting is that Barry Eva (that’s the author’s name) or rather, Storyheart which he likes to be called and is adorned on the front of his latest book, a young adult romance novel called Across the Pond, has just gotten a taste of online book marketing. In fact, and you’ll see this when you listen to his interview, it’s so refreshing to feel the enthusiasm he expresses over the thought of promoting his book over the Internet. And, you’ll love this, he has an accent you’ll die for!
His interview is at ArtistFirst Radio Network and hosted by Tony Kay whose pleasant “radio voice” just sets this whole interview off to a new level. I can’t express thanks enough to Tony for letting Barry talk about his upcoming virtual book tour, so a needed plug for him is graciously added!
If you’d like to listen to Barry Eva’s (aka Storyheart) interview on The Tony Kay Show, you’ll need Windows Media Player, which most of you already have anyway.
Then, all you have to do is click here!
Enjoy the show and thank you, Barry, for mentioning Pump Up Your Book Promotion and thank you Tony for having Barry on your show!
And if you’d like to buy a copy of Barry’s…oops, Storyheart’s…new young adult romance check out Amazon or go to http://across-t-pond.com

My karaoke show last night was packed three birthday parties. Everybody had a great time despite having a few equipment issues.
Today Sunday, I went to have an MRI on my back which the doctor will make a decision on when I visit on Tuesday as to if it requires an operation. I think this will be the choice anyway rather then a jab.

I am checking for any other reviews and blog interviews every day also checking out some more possible school visits
Fridays Review:
***** England to America adventure, January 23, 2009
By T. Williams (Atlanta, GA United States) - See all my reviews
Across the Pond is a great read. I love how the author pointed out all the differences between England and America in a funny way. I enjoyed the story and imagine any teen would as well. The characters are down to earth and human and the story is one kids can relate to. The romance felt very real and I read this from cover to cover in one sitting. This is an excellent book.
I like the part, and several others have said the same… that the person read it from cover to cover in one sitting.
Another plus from this review was that when I checked their other reviews I noticed I had a five star and Oprah’s Book only got four stars *grin*
So that’s all the news for today more to come tomorrow.

Waiting for my mp3 file from Wednesday nights The Tony Kay Show on http://ArtistFirst.com. Several people have asked about it missing the original show, I hope it will be available soon.
Managed to create a couple more documents for blogs I’m visiting on my virtual book tour next month.
I checked Amazon late last night and was very pleased to see some new reviews for “Across the Pond”. I love the second one calling Fred, Prince Charming, not sure if he’d prefer that to being Brits White Knight.
Young Love with Some Language Differences, January 22, 2009
By Sheri Fresonke Harper "sfharper59" (Renton, WA United States) - See all my reviews
I found this story of young love sweet and quite fun. The hero Fred is suitably teen in his ability to embarass easily yet tough and likeable. That he falls for the daughter Brit of the family he is visiting is easily understandable. Villian Stefan is a mean thug that harasses women. The showdown between the good guys at a barbecue and the Stefan and his overweight aunt is full of fun pranks that any teen would enjoy. More than all of that, the reader gets to experience a little bit of the differences between the United Kingdom and the United States along with a healthy dose of baseball. Very easily read, teens and other will enjoy the story including the realistic jealousy of friends competing for dates.

Prince Charming Steals Your Heart!, January 22, 2009
By Dorene Page "abusymomonline.com" (Indiana) - See all my reviews
A young man is sent across "the pond" to stay with friends of the family while his parents go on vacation. He'd much rather be with his parents, but soon discovers the land of dreams is home to the girl of his dreams. Charming and valient, he has the adventure of a lifetime. This is a wonderful story of young love, funny and irresistable. The cultural differences are funny, but these two find out that the problems and pressures that face teens, face them no matter which continent you live on. A must read for adults and teens/tweens alike. This yound lady's Prince Charming is sure to steal your heart, too.
It’s always worth checking the search engines you never know where a review or information about your book might pop up.
So that’s all the news for today more to come tomorrow.

Yesterday evening I had by second appearance on The Tony Kay Show at http://ArtistFirst.com. Again it was a great interview for almost and hour, talking about all kinds of things as well as my book and what else is going on with its promotion, Virtual Book Tour etc.
Tony is a great host one of the best I have come up against for making you feel at ease and helping pass the time very quickly.
Any recent authors I recommend an appearance on his show just log onto ArtistFirst.com and look for the Tony Kay show.
I will post the link to the radio show recording as soon as I have it.
Work for my Virtual Book Tour with “pumpupyourbookpromotion.com” ready for the start of the tour in February.
While yesterday doing my search engine check which I do every night I found a report about what looked like an interview at http://music.einnews.com/australia-nz however it turns out to be one of those places you have to be a member off to read so I guess I’ll just know there was a report there.

Across the Pond January 20
Yesterday was a day full of mixed events and emotions
On the book side, there was so much good news.
Interviews in
The American Chronicle, California Chronicle, Los Angeles Chronicle, World Sentinel
Just check for Storyheart
Also a good interview at Divine Carline
http://www.divinecaroline.com/article/31/65097-interview-young-adult-romance-novelist
Then a good fresh 5 star review at Amazon
By G. Reba (Panama City, FL) - See all my reviews
'Across the Pond' was a surprising piece of literary work, indeed. The title and cover art lead you to some correct assumptions, but the overall story is truly remarkable. The author manages to share a heartfelt story of new love, but also a "heavy topic" through a work of fiction, geared towards those affected most.
Fred Squire...the young man from "across the pond", sets out on what on he believes to be a misguided, time-wasting holiday given to him by his parents while they enjoy a romp on their own. In fact, Fred finds the best of love and the worst of lust, in an eye-opening encounter with the local hoodlums and their path of wreckage left behind.
For a solid read filled with adventure, humor, love, and "real-life"....I would definitely recommend this book. Happy reading!
I also have contacted a few more blog writers and should be able to send them copies for review later this week.
I was hoping it would have been today however, after seeing my chiropractor yesterday today is otherwise booked.
The results of the X-ray on my back pains have come back, and the results are clear. I have some bone spur which is reducing the gap and pinching the nerve. I have to go see a specialist today. It might need a small op or a jab to clear the spur. Whatever I hope it gets done soon, as the lack of sleep due to the pain is really starting to take effect.
Still the book news keeps me smiling and then Wednesday I have another radio interview this time back on Artists First at 6pm with Tony Kay.

Across the Pond - January 17/18th News and Reviews
Across the Pond January 17/18th
Okay so I am now doing blogs in two days instead of every day, originally it was to catch up on the backlog from my trip back home across the pond, but now it’s just to make sure I have enough to write about.
Saturday and a some more homework, this time just writing for “The Book Stacks” blog about writing “young adult fiction” which I completed today, Sunday. One of the issues I had when writing my book “Across the Pond” was sorting out the age and the genera. The fact that people from ten to eighty are enjoying the book, and parents as well as their children are enjoying it makes me wonder what I can pigeon hole the book into.
Putting “for the young and the young at heart” I hope covers some of the age differences that are enjoying the book.
I did a little work on my web pages at http://across-t-pond.com adding a link to last week radio show.
http://www.blogtalkradio.com/Circle-Of-Seven/2009/- 01/16/Todays-Author
Saturday night I had my karaoke show the first one of the year missing last weeks due to my trip, actually the show was canceled due to bad weather. The normal quiet start but it filled up and I had a lot of singers and what proved once again to be a really fun night.
I have started on the mental planning of the next book, the story is taking shape and it will be based around Brit coming to visit Fred in England, and like Fred with his trip to the US running into problems in England. Sort of “across the pond and back again” As normal there will be many twists in the story and I expect to be putting the first words to paper next month. This up and coming week I have another radio interview, this time on Artists First at 6pm on Wednesday.

Across the Pond - January 15/16th News and Reviews
Cold day, with Jack Frost nipping at your nose. Thursday found that one of the books sent out had reached the blog that requested it.
“Look at that Book” blog commented.
“I got a book in the mail today, Across The Pond by Storyheart, can't wait to read it!”
A couple of readers of the blog also made comments.
This book looks really good! can't wait to see what you think of it. Katie
The cover makes it seem interesting. curious for the review.- Shooting Star Mag
I can’t wait for the review either.
In the evening I had a radio review on blogtalk radio “Todays Author”
It went okay though not one of the best, however you can hear the full 15minutes at.

Across the Pond - Janaury 13/14th News and Reviews
Tuesday/Wednesday January 13/14th
Back to normal, back to work. As always after you have been off a few days the first part of your first day back is catching up on emails, and what has been going on. When is comes to my book “Across the Pond” by Storyheart, I have just about been able to keep on top of the home work and requests.
While I have been away back across the pond, several books have been sent out for blog reviewers from Canada to Australia. This along with completing the “blog questions” means that I’ve no catching up now I’m back except clarifying a couple more radio show bookings.
On the Wednesday I received another blog questionnaire, though this time it was not the normal “What is it about”, “why did you write it” sort of stuff, this time it was a format I really had a good time with.
The document I received from asthepagesturn.wordpress.com was the most fun I’ve had doing all the interviews and reviews, mainly as the questions were far from the normal ones.
Example:
If Tom Hanks, in the movie Cast Away, unearthed a copy of Across the Pond, how would that help Tom find a way off the island?
Hulk Hogan, the famous wrestler and star of his own reality show, has invited you and your book to appear on his show. One catch. You have to read a passage out of it to convince him you are star material. What part would you read?
My favorite one and I will share my answer with you was.
President Barack Obama has become the author of several books and he has requested your presence at a special hush hush meeting to discuss ways to promote it. Through luck of the draw, you were chosen. What would be the first thing you would tell Barack?
Answer: Invite Oprah the White House.
So that’s another couple of days done, contacted a few people re reviews and have my next radio program set for Thursday at 8:15pm
The book “across the Pond” by me Storyheart is going well, and you can even meet a couple of the characters at http://across-t-pond.com

Across the Pond January 12/13th News and Reviews
My final day in England staring with a new review and a couple of questions about the review (more about that later)
A bus then a tube ride back along the whole length of the Piccadilly line had my at departure area four at Heathrow airport. Only issue was I found I was meant to be at departure 3. So back on the shuttle and eventually arrived and handed over my, now increased in number cases.
I went through the various security zones of which there are so many more than in the US, memories are soon forgotten it seems with regards US security. Went to go through with my hand luggage to find the marmite and HP sauce count as liquids thus can’t go through in hand luggage.
Back to the Virgin (never fly anything else) departure area and handed over my hand luggage to be added with my cases. Back again and into the duty free area. Unlike in the US this is like a small shopping mall, with plenty to purchase eat and drink.
A long flight home and I was back in the US by 8pm.
Now ready for my February book tour and some more radio programs.
The review I received while very good, even comparing me to a new Judy Blume questioned “the use of inappropriate language”.
I thought long and hard but could not really come up with any real “use of inappropriate language”. Except for the name “slime ball” or Fred saying “bloody hell” when the car turns right a t a red stop slight. The only other item “might” be the mishap with him using the term rubber for what in the US is called an eraser. But then that is a prime example of the sort of issues one who travels across the pond can find themselves in.
A new Judy Blume, January 12, 2009
By
kbird - See all my reviews
Storyheart comes across as a modern day Judy Blume with Across The Pond. The book's humor is reminiscent of Blume's books that were written for younger audiences while touching on a serious subject similar to the books written for older audiences. My only complaint about Across The Pond is the use of inappropriate language. By no means is the book filled with four-letter words; however, the few that are sprinkled in are unnecessary and, in my opinion, inappropriate. For that reason alone, I think the book is more suited to older teens and up. On the positive side, I loved how this light romance was told through Fred's view. It is a refreshing break to read a romance through a guy's view. Across The Pond could easily be the first in a series based on its characters. I for one would love to read about Brit's trip to visit Fred in England, to see Angel's story told, and to even see Harris in his own book. I hope Storyheart will be writing young adult literature for a long time to come.

I for one would love to read about Brit's trip to visit Fred in England, to see Angel's story told, and to even see Harris in his own book. I hope Storyheart will be writing young adult literature for a long time to come.

Across the Pond - January 11th News and Reviews
Saturday January 11th
Another family day, another day doing work on the book, planning the next chapter and answering questions.
The trip has been very good, even though short, and it has felt good to be back home again.
A fresh request for a blog interview turned out to be a little different to the normal requests. This time they wanted me to interview one of the characters from the book.
I churned over a few possibilities as to who that might be, perhaps Steve Harris the villain of the story, or even Brits mother.
In the end I played safe and interviewed Fred the hero of my Young Adult Fiction book “Across the Pond”
As when I write I became the person being interviewed became Fred, I think it not only helps make the character more realistic but also helps with the writing.
Today is my last day in England, before I head back to the US tomorrow.

Saturday January 10th - Across the Pond by Storyheart "Young Adult Fiction"
http://across-t-pond.com
Nearly all my family came to visit today, many I have not seen for several years. Lt’s of discussion with my nieces re my next book and what path it should take. I suggested that Brit might get killed off and was beaten around the head for even suggesting such a thing. In the end a few possible paths for talked about and I am now mentally working out the structure I need to follow.
In the late afternoon I caught a bus, yes we use buses in England, up to my old rugby club. For Americans, rugby is like American football, without the suits of armor, and where people play the full 40minutes each half, not coming off for a break after every minute or so.
It was good to see some old friends and chat about old days over a pint or two. Before I left I was presented with a gift for service to the club, or was it service to the bar? Whichever it was a nice gift. I sold several books at the club, and picking up some fish and chips on my way home settled down to check for any “home work” Dorothy, my PR lady from “pumpupyourbookpromtion.com” had given me.
No home work, but there was another great review waiting for me to share.

A delightful adventure about Fred, a young lad from England. Fred's story begins when his parents win a trip for two to Australia and he is forced to stay with his dad's buddy Phil in the USA. Fred's emotions run the gamut from anger about his parents leaving him out of their trip, to the stirring he felt when he met Phil's daughter Brit. A nice side bit to the story is about a school project Fred takes on. He is to write down the differences in languages, such as an elevator being called a lift in England. I do not want to give much more of the story line away, but rest assured you will not be disappointed in this book. It is an extremely well written novel for a young adult romantic adventure. It is so good, that if you are giving it as a gift, you might asked to read it when the person is through with it.

Across the Pond - January 8th News and Reviews
First day back in England, and after some “real bacon” for breakfast checked my mail and found some more work and questions for my book “Across the Pond”.
Later I made the trip to Tesco’s the largest and best supermarket chain in England, and now a few have migrated to the west coast of the USA. Once again I was amazed ahs to just how much more choice there is regarding food in English stores, and purchased many, many items to bring back with me.
Crisps, HP sauce, PG Tips tea, Branston Pickle and many other items, I would have purchased more except I had to get the goods back home, as it was by the time I added Christmas presents, gifts etc to the shopping another case was required for the return trip.
I worked through another couple of question and answers for my virtual book tour which starts in February. Later in the day a request to appear on another radio show came alone, making it look like a very busy moth heading my way.
Across the Pond, my teen/young adult fiction book by me Storyheart, seems to be very popular, and I love doing all these shows and reviews.

Across the Pond - Wednesday January 9th -New and Reviews
Wednesday:
After making sure I had a few copies of “Across the Pond” with me I got a ride down to JFK airport, ready for my trip back home to England. I was sitting in the airport departure lounge and started reading my book. It’s funny but after not reading it for some time, how much I enjoyed going through the pages. In fact at several points I actually laughed out loud at what I was reading. Is that a bad thing to laugh at your own book?
After the normal, well for JFK airport normal hold up before we could take off we eventually left about 35mins late. Whenever I can I fly Virgin Airlines, it is so much better, with more to do and enjoy than most of the other airlines and you don’t get charged extra. Enjoyed two films and several TV shows while flying across on what was a fast rout, the actual flight only taking just over 6hrs, so we actually arrived early in the UK.
Trying to work out what I might bring into my next book, I caught the tube (Subway) from Heathrow and travelled the whole length of the Piccadilly Line to Arnos Grown, where a caught a bus before arriving at the family home.
When I checked my mail I found yet another great review which I will add at the end of the email, as well as some “homework” from my PR Company, “pumpupypurbook promotions.com”.
I produced several items and answered several more questions that had been sent re my “young adult fiction” book Across the Pond, checked out the web site http://across-t-pond.com and headed for bed.

Adventure, romance, linguistics, Across the Pond has a little bit of everything. A great read for mother/daughter book clubs. Not too racy, yet sweetly romantic. Even a little educational; I wasn't aware of the great number of differences in US and British English! The characters are well developed and their escapades are believable. A great gift for a young teen!

Across the Pond - January 5th news and Reviews
Spent yesterday evening at my karaoke companies Christmas Dinner. A little bit late you might think. But with 30-40 KDJ’s (that’s karaoke dj’s) obviously Christmas and the New year is a busy time for us all.
As normal the evening went turned into some fun event, with first the dinner then a trip to a local bar and a karaoke evening. As you can imagine having that number of singer and people whose job it is at such events to insure people have a good time, there was much fun, singing and everything else going on. With so many singers we each had to choose one song to sing, and the variety was amazing. The rest of the bar patrons got a free show equal to any talent show you might see on TV.
There is not much going on right now regarding the book, but I’m sure by the time I get back from my trip “Across the Pond” there will be much news to pass on to you all
Don’t forget, if you get a chance, check out the great reviews I have, or rather my book has received so far.

Across the Pond - January 4th News and Reviews
Not a great amount of news today, still waiting for the start after the holiday lag. I have now a firm booking for a school in March, and have started a couple more blogs. Am also preparing for my virtual book tour in February.
Before then I have to work out what the next book is going to be about. Those who have read "Across the Pond" will know there are a possible two follow-ups that have been left dangling at the end of the book.
Before then however I myself will be heading back home to England later this week. It will give me a chance to see what if any changes have happened in the last couple of years since I have been there. Also of course, purchasing the usual English items, that are hard to get here in the US.
The book stats are still good, and after the previous blog where I found that Amazon had put the price of the book up, I am glad to say the price is once more back at $16.19

Across the Pond - January 3rd News/Reviews
Another Saturday and working tonight my first karaoke show for a couple of weeks with the holiday period, the snow and my bronchitis. I'm sure if I take a couple of bags of cough sweets and dose up on meds I'll get through okay.
Not much news on my book Across the Pond. A few emails and comments, but no reviews, though I know there are plenty out there that are meant to be coming my way.. well that are promised. I guess the New year and things will start getting back to normal.
I am mentally trying to work out which of the two options for a follow up book I am going to start writing. For those who have read Across the Pond there are at least two open channels for future novels. I need to work out which road to follow, but unlike the Wizard of OZ there is no yellow brick road.
I am heading back home for a week so will be able to see if any ideas come to me.
Until then I hope those whom have read my book enjoyed it, and those who are interested purchase a copy. Amazon have after the news the other day that they had put the price of "across the Pond" up, now seem to have settled it back to the $16.19 at amazon. Perhaps it's the power of blogs me mentioning it... you never know.

Across the Pond - January 2nd News/Reviews
Like so many I actually have today off work, even where people are working the amount of "vacation" time taken for the one day back before the weekend leaves a lot of companies with reduced coverage. The amount of "working from" also increases. I for one go to work to have a break from home, though that is partly caused by having two little ones creating havoc around the place.
There has not been much going on with the book stuff, I have done a count up and am currently owed over 20 reviews , I guess I'll just have to wait. Right now it's just bills that keep coming through, Facebook etc all add up each day for adverts, I just wonder if anybody is purchasing copies I do hope so, but will not find out for several months yet.
I did however receive a a call and a booking for a school visit end of March. I have already worked out my presentation, with as much humor and learning I can manage in a short period of time.
Any way here we go into 2009, I will be paying a short visit back "acorss the pond" next week, which will enable me to check a few things before I start shading out my next novel...
I was going to call it "Acoss the Pond and Back again" but guess some Ho bit character might have used that idea.

Across the Pond - Janaury 1st - news/reviews
Happy New Year to all my readers or welcome to new readers if that is better. 2009 another year, and what will it bring?
It did not start too well, with me missing any form of New years celebration after the aches that have been down my left side being migrated to my right side thanks to some physio, that perhaps moved things a little too far.
Then what about my book, after all that is what this blog is all about.
"Across the Pond" by "Storyheart" a "Young Adult Fiction" novel for the young and young at heart.
Since the book was launched in October so much seems to have happened in such a short time. So much that with the calming down over the holiday period I feel almost withdrawal symptoms.
Each day I check the various web pages search engines, email for any new news, or reviews, and it is almost a sadness when there is nothing fresh to read/see. I guess I have been spoiled. Having 24 reviews in what really is such a short three months.
I know there are many more that might come along, books that have been sent out, messages from people promising reviews etc, so I guess I will just have to wait.
So until the next radio program, the school visit or the appearance on Oprah, I will just keep checking, writing my blogs and hoping that people out there are enjoying my book.
