Across the Pond by Storyheart: Feb 24th day 17 of my “Virtual Book Tour”

Across the Pond by Storyheart: Feb 24th day 17 of my “Virtual Book Tour”

Two really good stops today with some really fun reading. Some up to date news, and interview or two and a fresh review of my young adult fiction book Across the Pond

Finally I had the 22 staples out of my back from the Op which took place almost 2 weeks ago, so I can sit slightly more comfortable while typing this blog. At least that is what it is in theory; in fact it’s bloody killing me!

February 24th Day 17 – Across the Pond by Storyheart

A couple of great stops today not the normal blog stops, you must visit these two sites and have a laugh as I did writing the blogs. I’m sure you will enjoy them.

Firstly a stop at today was “

A book trivia interview at As the Page Turn

http://asthepagesturn.wordpress.com/2009/02/24/book-trivia-interview-with-young-adult-romance-author-barry-eva-aka-storyheart/#comment-289

It was really fun having such interesting questions to answer and I hope they bring a smile to your face as they did mine.

Second Stop was back at “THE PLOT”

http://theplotline.wordpress.com/2009/02/24/interview-with-fred-squire-from-across-the-pond-by-barry-eva/#comment-621

This was something different; I had to interview one of the characters of the book and of course chose Fred. The great rapport we had between Fred and myself I hope came over in the interview. ;)

Third Stop was Shooting Star Magazine

http://shootingstarsmag.blogspot.com/2009/02/across-pond-review-q.html

The interview with Lauren proved so much fun she actually had to trim the interview down as it went on way too long. Please stop and pay a visit and enjoy our chat

Across the Pond is a short, fun read. I liked Fred's character for the most part and enjoyed the mishaps he found himself in due to the language "barriers." His project was fun and I really liked seeing the various words and their meanings between the U.S. and England. It was exciting to see that I knew most of them as well!!

REVIEWS”

I got a three star review at Amazon, my very first review under 4 stars, yet the person who did the review really liked the book…

Great mix of teenage love and baseball, February 24, 2009
By Roxanne Green - See all my reviews

Reading Across the Pond brought me back to my teenage years. Oh the feeling of young love. First love. This book has a great mix of romance, teen drama and baseball. It was interesting to see the differences between the languages separated by "the pond" as well. I can't wait to read the sequel on the other side of the pond. My teenage daughter will love to read this as well even though at times I wish the writer had gone more into depth and dragged the suspense out a little longer.

I wondered what reviews Roxanne had done before on Amazon, as one does to see if perhaps she normally gave three stars. The only other review was for

VEET Facial Wax Strips: 20 Count

Best Ever Wax Strips

For which she gave 5 stars. Lol

Whatever it seems she still enjoyed the book and I hope her teenage daughter will enjoy the book as well.
